The Oregon Wildlife Institute was founded in 2007 with a mission of conserving and enhancing wildlife resources through research, education, and conservation planning.

We have nearly 100 years of collective experience in wildlife research and management with emphasis on wildlife ecology and natural resource management and extensive backgrounds in statistical analysis, study design and execution, and management planning. We are based in Corvallis, Oregon USA.

From the old-growth forests of the Oregon Coast Range to the dry shrub-steppe desert of southeast Oregon, and almost every habitat type in between, OWI ecologists have been there.

For more than two decades OWI staff have been preparing conservation assessments for threatened species, conducting wildlife research and guiding habitat restoration projects. Partners in our work include federal and state government agencies, other non-profit conservation organizations and private land managers across Oregon.
