Conservation Assessments now online

We have finished a number of conservation assessments in the past year, including on four species of bats (Townsend’s big-eared bat, spotted bat, pallid bat, and fringed myotis), pygmy rabbits, and a synthesis of the ecology of the burrowing owl in the Imperial Valley of California.

Oak Restoration at Bald Hill Farm

Our friends and colleagues at Greenbelt Land Trust have completed the first phase of oak savanna restoration on the Bald Hill Farm property this fall. The goals include maintaining legacy oaks and expanding oak savanna, which will benefit many other plants and animals that depend on this now-rare habitat.
