Writing for the Public

Oregon Wildlife Institute Ecologist Jennifer Gervais has written many peer-reviewed papers, technical reviews, and conservation plans during her career, but she has now become a published author in creative writing! Oregon Coast Magazine has published two of Jennifer’s essays, Bananas in the Woods and The Fog Lark, in 2016. These essays explore the natural history of banana slugs and marbled murrelets.
