Welcome

After many months in development, the new OWI site is finally launched.  Dan, Jen, and Dave wish to thank Kelly Wildman for all of her efforts in getting it up and running, as well as for her patience with all of our questions as we novices learn to administer a WordPress site.

Our primary goal in designing the new website was to create a place where OWI staff can share news about wildlife conservation and research in which we are engaged.  Its also important for us to be able to share the results of our work with our partners and the public.  There are currently a couple dozen publications and other media products available for download on the site.  More will be coming during the next couple of months.

We are also looking forward to sharing on the blog some of our perspectives about wildlife and stories from the field which never make it in to the reports.  We hope visitors to our website will use this forum to share their own stories about wildlife or ask our staff questions about what you are discovering in Oregon’s forests, on the farm, or in our parks.

We hope you find our new site informative and interesting. Thanks for visiting!
